In
1986, our company was invented on a cocktail napkin in a well-known sports
bar on Milwaukee's west side. It's true. A silk-screened fish on
a T-shirt gave the idea to turn the image into a tie. The concept took
off. First we sold our ties to sporting goods stores and bait shops. Then
former Milwaukee Bucks basketball coach Don Nelson started wearing our
ties on nationally televised games. From there, our humble fish tie spawned
the conversational neckwear industry.
But
we realized the fish tie fad could go as quickly as it had come. So we
branched out. Harley-Davidson® was the first license. Sports soon followed.
Along the way we negotiated dozens of exclusive licenses for everything
from The Three Stooges to The Beatles to one of our latest - the return
of NBA.
Plus, we created hundreds of original designs covering topics from hobbies
and special interests to holidays and professions - more than 1,000 SKUs
in all. What's really great is our customers have suggested some of the most successful items.
Most exciting of all, our product line has rapidly grown from ties to
additional conversational items like boxers, scarves, lounge pants night
shirts and
cummerbunds. We pledge that in the years ahead, we will give you even more reasons to
buy from us than at any time in the past.
